Boys Basketball

Ronan Chiefs

Anthony Camel scored a game-high 20 points and Randy Finley followed with 10 points for the Ronan Chiefs. The Chiefs fell in a 73-54 road loss to the Frenchtown Broncs on Friday night. 

 

Polson Pirates

Polson Pirate Colton Graham led all scorers with 16 on Friday evening as the Pirates defeated the visiting Stevensville Yellowjackets 66-45. On Saturday, the Pirates made it four wins in a row with a 60-52 Northwestern A Conference victory over visiting Libby Loggers.

 

Charlo Vikings

The Charlo Vikings were on the road in Hot Springs on Saturday evening and came away with a 55-39 14C district win over the Hot Springs Savage Heat. Viking Landers Smith scored a game-high 22 points. Nate Delaney scored 14 points and Connor Koenig netted 13 points.

 

Two Eagle River Eagles

Anthony Charlo netted a team-high 13 points for the Two Eagle River Eagles in a 60-32 home loss against the Plains Horsemen on Saturday night.

 

Girls Basketball

Ronan Maidens

On Friday evening, the Ronan Maidens slipped past the visiting Frenchtown Lady Broncs 37-35 for their second win in a row. Tiana Ulutoa scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Maidens. Jaylea Lunceford chipped in with 10 points.

 

Polson Lady Pirates

The Lady Pirates were still on the hunt for their first win on the season as they fell 52-39 on the road to the Stevensville Lady Yellowjackets on Friday and 49-15 to the visiting Libby Lady Loggers on Saturday.

Against the Lady Yellow Jackets, Mossy Kauley led the Lady Pirates with 11 points. Sharmaine Zempel led Polson with eight points against Libby.

 

Charlo Lady Vikings

On the road Saturday evening, the Charlo Lady Vikings rebounded from their first loss of the season with a 51-22 win against the Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat. Lady Viking Kaitlin Cox scored a game-high 14 points. Teaira Truman chipped in with 11 points.

Wrestling

On Friday and Saturday, the Ronan Chiefs wrestling squad took 22nd place in a field of 31 teams at the Sentinel High-hosted Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula.

Justin Mays placed fifth in the 205-pound weight class and scored 19 team points for the Chiefs.

Also, this past weekend the Arlee Warriors and the Mission-Charlo Bulldogs hit the road and traveled to Choteau for the Choteau Classic. The Bulldogs placed fifth as a team. 

The Warriors placed 20th out of 32 teams from around the state. Colt Crawford was the lone Warrior to place in the tournament. Crawford finished third in the 138-pound weight class.

The Bulldogs had quite the weekend with five wrestlers placing in the top five within their respective weight classes.

Top finishers for the Bulldogs were both Darwin Adams at 145 pounds and Isaiah Alik at 170 pounds who claimed third place. Walker Murphy at 120 pounds and Isaac DuMontier at 152 pounds both placed fourth. Cole Gilleard at 132 pounds nabbed fifth place, and Miles Anderson at 205 pounds placed sixth for the Bulldogs.
