ARLEE — Killdeer Artisans Guild’s opening reception for their new exhibit, “Spring’s Return,” will take place on Saturday, April 13, at Hangin’ Art Gallery in Arlee, (Highway 93 N), from noon-2 p.m. Featured guest artists are Claire Emery and Jenah Mead. Claire’s delightful collection of hand-colored woodcut prints and Jenah’s exquisite graphite drawings both feature native birds. Also included, an installation of bird nests entitled, “Winged Makers,” celebrating the ingenuity and craftsmanship of birds (put together by Kathee Dunham.) Killdeer member artists will exhibit paintings, mixed media and photography. Three new members will show in this exhibit as well - Juanita Thames (pastels), Doug Ersson-Hammerberg (photography), and Joel Carlson (sketches). Join us at the gallery on Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m. for “Winging It Together with Cranium: Creating Origami Folding Opportunities.” Folded paper cranes will be displayed.
