PABLO – On Saturday afternoon, one of the smallest senior classes in decades walked across the stage during the 2019 graduation ceremony at Two Eagle River School.

According to administrator Rodney Bird, the number of graduates may be small in total but the 2019 class had the distinct privilege of being one of the largest second-generation graduating classes he has seen. Seven of the ten seniors were children of former alumni.

During the ceremony, the Red Horn drum led the processional for the class of 2019, while special speaker Vicki Morigeau had a few encouraging words for the students.

Before receiving their diplomas, each student was honored by school administrators and instructors. On behalf of the Salish Kootenai College, Juanita Swaney awarded each senior a freshman year tuition waiver to the college. After diplomas were presented, family and friends honored the graduates during a reception in the commons.

The Two Eagle River School Class of 2019: Kyra Jade Aimsback, Lanie Marie Ameline, Justice James Bourdon-Pichette, Kesean Eugene Burke, Spencer Damon Butler, Dominique Randall Finley, Whisper Lisette McCrea, Jayante James Pichette, Chandra Marie Whiteman-LaForge and Phaedra Angel Yellow Bird.
