Next week (Sept. 8-14) is Direct Support Professional Recognition Week. This is a weeklong celebration in recognition of the dedication and accomplishments of outstanding DSPs and their vital contribution to communities across the country.
Mission Mountain Enterprises employs 115 Direct Support Professionals, who work incredibly hard every week to support people with intellectual disabilities in Lake County. Due to a number of circumstances, we have had some struggles at MME in the past few years. Our core group of resilient DSPs have stood by the organization because they’re here for the right reason. They care about helping an often overlooked and under-served population in our community.
We want to thank our DSPs for all they do every day to make Lake County a more inclusive and supportive place to live. If you see our staff out and about next week, please take a moment to show your appreciation as well. It means more than you think.
