Editor,

The Polson Loaves and Fish Pantry is so grateful. We are part of an awesome town with the most generous volunteers and supporters, and we want to say thanks.

On Sept. 11, good folks from First Interstate Bank rolled up their sleeves and cleaned our building, scrubbing and painting until the place sparkled, thank you.

Every week kind souls share their garden bounty to improve the quantity and the quality of what we share with hungry folks, both directly and through other valley pantries and organizations, thank you.

Other terrific folks and businesses spend good money to donate cereal, noodles, baked goods, fish, game and much more. Others donate money to buy what isn’t donated and to keep our lights on, thank you.

Every Monday and Thursday morning a platoon of volunteers stocks our shelves so that every Tuesday and Friday we can share what we have. Every single day of the week, volunteers fill our pantry pickup with donations from our local grocery stores, thank you all.

If you recognize yourself in the list above, please know that we are proud to be on the same team with you and appreciate all you do, thank you.

Linda Kittle
