POLSON — Wal-Mart requested building permits for its new Super Center last week according to the City of Polson Building and Planning Department. Before the permits are issued, Wal-Mart must submit their building plans to the Polson building inspector for review.
The last plans, dated April 12, 2006, showed a single- story, timber and frame building south of the existing building.
Polson Development Code allows the builder to reduce the size of a building; but if the size is increased, the process starts all over again.
Polson Wal-Mart manager Cody Grove confirmed Wal-Mart may begin construction on the new Super Center in July or August of 2012.
