The Polson girls’ and boys’ tennis teams made quick work of the Wildcats when the Pirates visited Columbia Falls last Thursday before diving into a busy weekend at the Cut Bank Invitational.

Against Columbia Falls, the Polson girls had a perfect 7-0 run, later defeating Cut Bank 5-2, led by Whitney Zimmerman’s 8-1 victory over Paige Larson.

The boys’ team dropped only one match against the Wildcats, when Polson’s Will Davey and Ian Laimbeer fell to Parker Johnson and Brian Marcille, 3-6, 6-3, 10-8. The Pirate duo redeemed themselves against Cut Bank, beating Jerry Pitman and Josh Kloos, 8-3, as the Polson boys eked out a win over Cut Bank, 4-3.

Other results from the Cut Bank Invitational were not available at press time.

Polson will host Whitefish and Bigfork Friday and Dillon Saturday.
