Lake County law enforcement are looking for several suspects involved in a shooting incident that occurred during the early morning hours of June 18 in the Ninepipe area.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said that the 911-dispatch center received a call at 4:15 a.m. concerning an armed robbery. “The reporting party stated he woke up to people unlawfully entering vehicles in his driveway,” Bell said. “The reporting party fired a warning shot, which elicited return fire from one of the three to four suspects. The reporting party shot again towards the fleeing suspects as they left in an SUV.”

The suspects could possibly be driving a later model Jeep or other small wheelbase vehicle similar to a Jeep with a square-body design. The color of the vehicle was not distinguishable in the dark.

“If you have information regarding this case, please contact the sheriff’s office and report to a deputy,” Bell said. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office number is 406-883-7301. An email can also be sent to lcso@lakemt.gov.
