Editor,
Recently, my political sign supporting Gerry Browning was stolen from my front yard. How unfortunate that people resort to such tactics; however, that incident has given me the incentive to write this letter in support of Browning.
Respect and trust are central issues when choosing a person to represent a voter. A voter cannot know all of the issues which will come up during the term of a political candidate; therefore, a voter must rely upon a history of past behaviors to make an informed opinion and prediction.
Respect is based upon observing past behaviors which you believe to be ethical, compassionate and proper. Trust is an attitude through which the voter views the future with the expectation of a continuation of ethical, compassionate behaviors and decisions by the given candidate.
I have known Browning for many years and, indeed, she has earned my respect for her past behaviors and my trust for her future decisions. She has my vote, and I hope other voters will give her serious consideration.
