Leonard Dubuque
POLSON — Len, son of Ernest and Frances Dubuque, was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He, along with his parents and four siblings, lived in various locations across the country. During his high school years Len lived in Billings where he experienced Montana for the first time.
As a young man he served in the Vietnam War, which he often spoke of as one of the greatest experiences of his life. After serving in the Army he pursued a career with the Postal Service in Washington D.C., where he later married and began raising a family.
His love for Montana never left his thoughts and his dream came true when he retired at 50 and moved his family to Polson in 1993. He was known by many for his sense of humor and kindness. Nothing made Len happier than making others smile.
Len is survived by his adored wife, Nieves; and their three children, Brian, Daniel, and Nievecita. His love as a brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and friend will be deeply missed.
No celebration of life has been scheduled at this time yet.
