Boys Basketball

Charlo Vikings

Keaton Piedalue and Roper Edwards each scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Charlo Vikings to a 52-42 road win on Tuesday, Jan. 26, against the Noxon Red Devils. On Friday, the Vikings defeated the visiting Plains Horsemen 56-46. Stetson Reum led the Vikings with 11 points. At home Saturday, the Vikings won their third consecutive game with a 61-52 win over the Noxon Red Devils. Edwards led all scorers with 18 points on the afternoon followed by Phil Marquez with 17 points and Reum with 10.

Polson Pirates

The Polson Pirates notched their first loss of the season in a 54-46 road loss to the Dillon Beavers on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Mission Bulldogs

Ross McPherson, Kellen McClure and Zoran LaFrombois each scored eight points on Tuesday evening, Jan. 26, in a 52-39 road loss to the Bigfork Vikings. On Friday, the Bulldogs slipped past the hosting Deer Lodge Wardens 50-49. LaFrombois and McPherson each booked 15 points to lead the Bulldogs. LaFrombois sank 24 points and led the Bulldogs to a narrow 70-67 road win over the Eureka Lions on Saturday. The Bulldogs move to an overall 8-3 record on the season. 

Arlee Warriors

The Arlee Warriors fell 57-45 to the visiting Deer Lodge Wardens on Saturday. Levi Fullerton led the Warriors with nine points.

 

Girls Basketball

Charlo Lady Vikings

On the road Tuesday, Jan. 26, the Charlo Lady Vikings walked away with a 40-17 victory over the Noxon Lady Red Devils. Connor Fryberger paced the Lady Vikings with 10 points. In Friday’s 54-15 home game against the Plains Trotters, Lady Viking Carlee Fryberger booked a game-high 16 points. Also for the Lady Vikings, Connor Fryberger scored 10 points. The Lady Vikings moved to a perfect 8-0 record on the season Saturday evening with a District 14C home win over the Noxon Lady Red Devils. Connor Fryberger scored a season and game-high 21 points.

Mission Lady Bulldogs

On the road Friday, the Mission Lady Bulldogs ran past the Deer Lodge Lady Wardens 50-49. 

Lady Bulldog Sydney Brander posted a game-high 21 points. Brander, on Saturday, followed her Friday night’s game-high 21 points with a 19-point scoring outburst on the road against the Eureka Lady Lions. The Lady Lions outlasted the Lady Bulldogs 55-49.

Polson Lady Pirates

McKenna Hanson scored a team-leading 12 points for the Polson Lady Pirates on Tuesday evening, Jan. 26, in a 51-32 home loss to the Bigfork Valkyries. On Thursday, the Lady Pirates fell 63-30 to the visiting Dillion Lady Beavers. Mossy Kauley scored a team-high 10 points for Polson.

Arlee Scarlets

Cheyenne Pablo scored a team-high 10 points helping the Arlee Scarlets notch their season’s win with a 49-42 victory over visiting Deer Lodge Lady Wardens on Saturday.

 

Wrestling

Polson Pirates 

On Thursday, the Polson Pirates wrestled to a 36-36 tie with the Whitefish Bulldogs in a triangular meet, hosted by the Ronan Chiefs. Michael Pierre (160), Jamison Webster (205) and Aaron O`Roake (285) each had pin wins for the Pirates. In Columbia Falls, on Saturday, the Pirates fell 38-33 to the Browning Indians and 59-18 to the host Columbia Falls Wildcats. 

Pirate Caleb Pierre (152) posted a pin win against Browning. Against the Wildcats, Ryley Knutson (103) and Aaron O`Roake (285) booked pin wins for the Pirates.

Ronan Chiefs

The Ronan Chiefs defeated the visiting Whitefish Bulldogs 36-27 in wrestling action on Thursday evening in Ronan. For the Chiefs, Landon Bishop (138) and Caleb Cheff (145) each had pin wins. Trevor Bartel (126) and Daniel Collins Bishop (170) picked up wins by decision.
