A Tacoma Washington woman is accused of driving drunk in the Pablo area and nearly side swiping another motorist. Heather Michelle McLeod, 46, entered a plea of not guilty at District Court in Polson on May 20 to felony counts of criminal endangerment and driving under the influence.
According to court records, on April 26, emergency dispatchers received a report of a possible drunk driver who almost side-swiped the reporting party. A law enforcement officer located the suspected vehicle on North Burnt Pine Drive.
As the officer approached, he could see the driver, allegedly identified as McLeod, holding a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon and another unopened Pabst on the passenger seat floor. A preliminary breath test showed McLeod’s blood alcohol content at .321. A more accurate breath test taken later showed her blood alcohol content at .254. Records show that she has four prior convictions for DUI.
