Community Support
LAKE COUNTY — Lake County Community Support is a small nonprofit organization based in St. Ignatius as a 501(c)3 certified nonprofit with two projects to share with the community.
The main service of LCCS is delivering food and other essential supplies, like baby diapers, to those in need. The program is called Hand Up Boxes. These boxes are tailored to each family’s specific needs and are completely free to anyone in need, no applications or requirements, just a hand up.
LCCS will also be collecting and purchasing supplies for backpacks filled with school supplies. The filled backpacks will be given away to students in need on the first day of the school year at the end of August. Supplies will be collected until Aug. 22. Donations are welcome.
