The Arlee Warriors tracksters finish fourth at the Lake County Meet

The Arlee Warriors tracksters came away with a fourth-place finish Tuesday as they competed at the Lake County Meet in Ronan.
Sam Nelson had the Warriors' only top finish of the event as he earned top honors in the javelin with a toss of 152 feet, 5 inches. Nelson was also third in both the long jump and the triple jump for Arlee.
Zack Carver finished second in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes, Brady Potts was second in the shot put, Webb O'Neill was second in the triple jump and fourth in the pole vault and Donovan McDonald was fifth in the 1,600-meter run.
The Warriors were also in action at the Seeley-Swan Invitational in Missoula Saturday, where Potts finished sixth in the shot put and Nelson was sixth in the javelin.
The Scarlets also earned a fourth-place finish at Ronan Tuesday as they dominated the field events.
Becca Nelson earned first in the javelin with a toss of 110 feet and also first in the discus with a toss of 92 feet, 2 inches while Rachelle Meidinger was first in the shot put with a toss of 33 feet, 4 and 1/2 inches.
Whitney Malatare was second in the triple jump, third in the long jump and finished fifth in the high jump. Jenna Pablo finished fifth in the triple jump and Meidinger was fifth in the javelin and discus.
The Scarlets finished 11th at the Seeley-Swan meet Saturday as Meidinger was second in the shot put with a toss of 33 feet, 6 inches while Nelson was fifth in the javelin with a throw of 106, feet, 1 inch.
Both teams will be in action Thursday as they compete at the District Meet in Polson.
