News from CSKT Tribal Health

Tribal Health is now offering COVID vaccinations to all people (tribal and non-tribal) ages 5+ years.

Flu vaccinations are also available for all Tribal Health eligible patients at both Tribal Health pharmacies.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2022, they will only offer COVID vaccinations to those eligible for Tribal Health services.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and will need a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.

COVID vaccination appointments can be made online at https://www.mtreadyclinic.org. Please search for appointments using key words: KwaTaqNuk or Ronan.

COVID Vaccination Clinics will be held at the following locations and times:

KwaTaqNuk – Polson

(Clinic ends 12/14/21)

Tuesdays 2 - 6 p.m.

(Ages 5+ years)

Ronan Health Center – Ronan

Wednesdays 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

(Ages 5 - 11 years ONLY)

For parents and care providers who have children that may require additional support for their vaccinations, please go to https://www.mtreadyclinic.org and search Ronan, or call Tribal Health at (406) 745-3525 to make an appointment at the Ronan Health Center.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will not be turned away.

COVID-19 vaccinations and other vaccinations (such as influenza, pneumonia, etc.) can now be administered simultaneously.

COVID booster shots (Pfizer and Moderna) are also available for:

• People aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions

• People aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting

Some of the Underlying Medical Conditions include the following:

Tribal Health providers encourage everyone to get vaccinated because it is a key step in saving lives and ending the pandemic.

The full benefits of immunity are not reached until two weeks after the second dose of the COVID vaccine, so as cases of COVID remain high, Tribal Health reminds everyone that it is critical now to physically distance, wear a mask and wash your hands. Also, minimize gatherings, and delay travel if possible.

For more information, please visit the Tribal Health website at www.cskthealth.org.
