News from CSKT

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) and Lake County are collaborating to upgrade the Terrace Lake Road bridge that crosses the canal three miles east of Highway 93.

The current bridges’ planks need replacement. This upgrade will remove the deficient planks and replace them with fresh planks. This action will ensure that this bridge will not fail in the future.

The activity planed will start Monday, Nov. 29, 2021 around 8 a.m. and should be completed Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, 2021.

The process will be the removal and installation of two to five planks at a time which will result in short delays. Please be prepared for delays from 15 to 30 minutes. Please be respectful of the workers as they are doing their best to be safe, efficient and improve the bridge to insure future use.

If you have questions, please call Jay Garrick, Lake County Roads Department (406) 883-7206.
