Judge Justin Bartels dealt with the following cases from Oct. 14-Nov. 15:

Cort Alfred Walhood, 29, pleaded guilty to failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Walhood also pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $100 plus $35 in court costs.

Daniel James O’Roake, 23, pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $85 in court costs.

Jennifer Schonrock, 27, forfeited a $100 bond and $85 in court costs for a 2004 citation for possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21 (over age 18), first offense.

Kheri B. Bilal, 35, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to two days in the Lake County Jail and five days on home arrest, and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs.

 

William Arron Walch, 39, pleaded guilty to the amended offense of assault. He was found guilty, sentenced to six months in jail, all suspended, and fined $165 plus $85 in court costs. Walch was also ordered to pay $90 in restitution.

Christopher Ryan Hiday, 22, pleaded guilty to the amended offense of failure to obey instructions of traffic control device. He was found guilty and fined $100 plus $35 in court costs.

Blake Garrett Holman, 26, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $465 plus $35 in court costs.

Kenneth George Philbrick, 62, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $300 plus $35 in court costs.

Genevieve A. Donais, 44, forfeited a $50 bond plus $35 in court costs for speeding, traveling 74 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.

Raylynn Marie Cannon, 19, pleaded guilty to failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, third or subsequent offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to six months in jail, all suspended, and fined $500 plus $35 in court costs. Cannon’s driver’s license was also suspended for 180 days.

Timothy O’Roake, 27, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. O’Roake must serve two days in jail by Dec. 31.

William Strasser, 63, forfeited a $40 bond for speeding, traveling 42 mph in a posted 25 mph zone.

Michael Clark, 32, forfeited a $20 bond for speeding, traveling 35 mph in a posted 25 mph zone.
