Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases Jan. 28 - Feb. 3:
Lori Nile Hamilton, 53, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license, expired more than 180 days. She was found guilty and fined $500 with $400 suspended, plus $35 in court costs. Hamilton also pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. She was found guilty, fined $500 with $350 suspended, and charged $35 in court costs.
Jason Michael Naethe, 30, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired more than 180 days. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Naethe also pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of reckless driving. He was found guilty, sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 suspended, and fined $300 plus $35 in court costs.
James Michael Downs, 19, pleaded guilty to possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21 (over age 18), second offense. He was found guilty and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs.
Joseph Allen Caughey, 44, pleaded not guilty to failing to give notice by quickest means, apparant damage over $500. He was found guilty and sentenced to 20 day in jail with all suspended. Caughey was also fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Dennis Scott Azbill, 43, entered a no contest plea for careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Ryan L. Koehn, 27, pleaded not guilty to careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $100 with $50 suspended, plus $35 in court costs.
Jonalyn Victoria Starkel, 18, pleaded guilty to possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21 (over age 18), first offense. She was found guilty and fined $600 with $450 suspended, plus $85 in court costs.
Harry Edward VanBouchaute, III, pleaded not guilty to partner or family member assault, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $1,000 with $700 suspended, plus $85 in court costs.
Mariah M. Duell, 18, pleaded guilty to possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $200 with $50 suspended, plus $85 in court costs.
James D. Snyder, 19, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended. The sentence is deferred until April 22 to attempt to get a driver’s license. Snyder was also fined $500 with $250 suspended plus $35 in court costs.
David Michael Sicz, 22, entered a no contest plea for operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $500 with $350 suspended, plus $35 in court costs.
Brooke Anna Hovland-Burrington, 29, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 175 suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
