I enjoyed the excellent article by Berl Tiskus reporting on the National Amateur Retriever Championship here in our valley. It explained the ins and outs of field trials with amazing animals that are often better at remembering things than their handlers. They were indeed a pleasure to watch.
It took many willing hands on various committees working seamlessly to carry off this event with care and precision. The genuine hospitality shown to all involved was so impressive that they may return.
