News from the Montana History Foundation

HAMILTON — Ever wonder what grandpa’s baseball cards are worth? What about that old painting in your attic? Bring your treasures to Hamilton and find out.

The Montana History Foundation and the Daly Mansion are excited to announce tickets for The Daly Mansion Celebrity Appraisal Fair are available for booking. The appraisal fair will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the historic Daly Mansion in Hamilton.

Expert Appraiser Timothy Gordon and Auctioneer Grant Zahajko will be on hand to assess and give verbal valuations of items such as fine art, historic objects, and other rarities. Both Gordon and Zahajko are known for their knowledgeable appraisals as seen on television.

Appraisal tickets are $20 per item. Tickets are available for purchase through the Daly Mansion website. Bring your paintings, sculptures, textiles, photographs, Western and Native Americana, dolls and sports memorabilia. Please no firearms, minerals, or jewelry.

For Appraiser Timothy Gordon, the excitement of the event is finding those items for which the value is unknown to its owner.

“Any given day something incredible can walk through the door and that’s what the carrot is for appraisers,” says Gordon. He and Zahajko are excited to see the treasures of the Bitterroot.

The Daly Mansion Celebrity Appraisal Fair is made possible in partnership with the Montana History Foundation.
