Editor,
Ronan High School hosted a Cross Country meet this past Saturday at the Mission Mountain Golf Course for the first time since 2002. (Previously hosted at the Silver Fox Golf Course in Pablo but we were unable to use their facilities this year due to construction.)
This meet included nearly 500 competitors from all over northwestern Montana, fielding runners from all classifications: AA, A, B and C. We realized last week that our numbers had substantially grown and we were looking at the largest field of runners ever before hosted at one of our meets.
With that in mind, we called upon volunteers to help ensure that we were able to successfully and efficiently provide the best meet possible for coaches and competitors. It takes a great deal of planning and effort to run a meet of this capacity. The response of help and expertise of many people made it possible to make this meet an event Ronan athletics can be proud of. We can’t thank our volunteers enough for their support, time and energy last Saturday. We have always been proud to be a member of this community and school district and Saturday was no exception.
