This is a letter of gratitude for the community’s selfless involvement and support for the Owen Schwab Benefit. It was an extremely successful event from the fantastic dinner donated by Ricciardi’s on Main, the most generous donations of silent auction items I’ve seen and the donation of the space by VFW Post 2986 to the fantastic collaboration of musical talent who generously donated their time and efforts.
More than $12,000 was raised to help with Owen’s medical expenses. Countless people helped gather, organize and set up for the event, and the attendance was entirely impressive. Also thanks to the local banks that are handling savings accounts set up in the name of the Owen Schwab Benefit Fund. If by chance you were one of the few who couldn’t attend, these accounts will remain active. Again, thank you kindly. You make us proud to live here.
