POLSON — Mission Valley Christian Academy (MVCA) is proud to announce the grand opening of its new building, the first phase of its ambitious community center project. The new building will provide MVCA students with state-of-the-art facilities, a science lab, and computer science lab that will enhance their learning experience and prepare them for the challenges of the future.

The grand opening of the new building will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 26 at 1 p.m. Members of the community are invited to attend and tour the new facilities.

MVCA began the community center project in response to increased need for modern, well-equipped educational facilities to meet the growing demands of school choice in Mission Valley. The Gianforte Family Foundation has provided a $600k matching grant for phase two of the project, which will include two more classrooms, a band room, a gym, and facilities that will allow the building to be used for community events. Construction on phase two is expected to begin as early as this fall. According to Catherine Koenen, executive director of the Gianforte Family Foundation, “We are so excited to help Mission Valley Christian Academy expand its campus to better serve students, teachers, and the Polson community at large. It will improve the educational experience for all and open greater choice options to families interested in a Christian education.”

Phase 1 of the new building was completed in time for students to start classes on April 12 and is a significant milestone for MVCA as it approaches its 30th anniversary next school year. The new building features spacious classrooms, cutting-edge technology, and modern amenities that will provide students with an unparalleled learning experience. “We are thrilled to open this new building and to provide our students with the best possible facilities and equipment,” said Andrew Russell, Head of School at MVCA. “We are grateful for the support of Infiltrator Water Technologies, which donated over $10k of equipment to the project. There are so many within the community that made this project possible. We look forward to continuing our efforts to provide excellent education to all students and complete the community center in the coming years.”

Mission Valley Christian Academy is a private, Christian school in Polson, Montana, that provides high quality Christ-centered education to students from preschool through 12th grade. MVCA is accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International and is committed to providing an education that emphasizes academic excellence, character development, and service to others.
