POLSON — The annual Doggy Dash, hosted by and for the benefit of the Mission Valley Animal Shelter, is Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Linderman Elementary School track in Polson. The event is co-sponsored by Anderson Broadcasting and Community Banks of Montana.
Raise money by getting pledges for you and your dog to walk around the track. Games and contests for your dog with prizes are available. Registration for the dash begins at 8:30 a.m. Professional pet photos by Pat Salmon are offered at a huge discount. Food will be available from ByteMe, a full service food truck, during the morning for anyone, even if they do not participate in the dash. A portion of the proceeds from both the photos and the food truck will be donated to the animal shelter.
The shelter is also offering microchipping for your pet at a discount rate of $20. Since this is the shelter’s major fundraising event of the year, please help support your animal shelter by taking advantage of all the fun and activities for the public. For more information, call the shelter at (406) 883-5312, visit the shelter’s Facebook page or go to www.missionvalleyanimalshelter.org.
