Editor,
I am closely following the election and want the public to know the following about one of the District Court judge candidates.
A few years ago, I had trouble with a person who was in the process of buying some acreage I owned outright near Hot Springs. That person wasn’t paying me, and I retained Thomas Kragh to assist me. He charged me a lot of money and essentially did nothing for me. The person attempting to purchase the property wound up in bankruptcy court, and I did get the property back — but with no help from Mr. Kragh. At that point, Mr. Kragh was familiar with all of my finances and personal information.
I am now in proceedings for a dissolution from my wife. Mr Kragh has chosen to represent her. I requested that he withdraw because of a conflict of interest based upon the information he has as a result of our attorney-client privilege. He has declined to do so. I personally don’t feel that is ethical, and as such, certainly couldn’t trust him as a District Court judge.
