Editor,
I would like to comment on my experience at St. Luke Hospital recently. About three weeks ago, I had a mishap where I fell off a piece of equipment and fractured my hip, requiring major surgery to replace the ball joint. Dr. Dolecki, our new orthopedic surgeon, skillfully did the surgery (I’d recommend him to anyone).
I have a heart condition that required extra precautions with antiseptic and pain medications. Everything was handled very professionally.
Pain medications caused my digestive system to shut down, in other words I was badly bloated. It took almost a week to get my innards working again, when they suspected colon cancer, which turned up negative.
I was very impressed with the modern equipment, the skilled and friendly nursing, the always-fresh linens and cleanliness of the hospital. We are fortunate to have a five-star facility in the area. A special thanks goes to Jason and Leroy and Cat.
Thank you to all who visited, sent cards, flowers and prayers. It’s great to live in this country, Montana, Mission Valley, and rural community and have family and friends around and neighbors around. Everyday is a bonus.
I had only one complaint. The emergency room cut off my best pair of shorts and would have done the same with my socks but I talked them out of it (they even matched). God bless everyone.
You don’t have to go out of town to get good care.
