Justice of the Peace Ann Marie McNeel dealt with the following cases from Nov. 2-8:
Shane Bird Dominguez, 38, forfeited a $285 bond for failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, first offense. Dominguez also forfeited a $50 bond plus $35 in court costs for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Leticia Lujan, 36, pleaded no guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Additionally, Lujan pleaded guilty to owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Conner Andrew Tompkins, 21, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $300 plus $35 in court costs. Tompkins also pleaded not guilty to failing to give notice of accident by quickest means with apparent damage over $500. He was found guilty and fined $200 plus $35 in court costs. Additionally, Tompkins pleaded not guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle. He was found guilty and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Chad Gary Hemphill, 38, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended. Hemphill was also fined $400 plus $85 in court costs. His jail time may be served in another facility within 90 days.
Kristen Marie Kleiv, 26, forfeited a $70 bond for speeding, traveling 79 mph in a 50 mph zone. Kleiv was also charged $35 in court costs.
Robert Samuel Irvin, 64, forfeited a $50 bond for improper passing in a no-passing zone. He was also charged $35 in court costs.
Edward Rex Cheff, 67, forfeited a $50 bond for careless driving. He was also charged $35 in court costs.
William S. Langdon, 56, pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Angelina R. Losleben, 22, denied she was driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so was suspended or revoked. She was found guilty, sentenced to five days in jail with three suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Losleben must complete her jail time by Dec. 7.
Trevor A. Cousins, 46, forfeited a $50 bond for operating a vehicle that has not been properly registered. He was also charged $35 in court costs.
Marvin S. Bailey, 38, pleaded guilty to unlawful purchase of, or apply for, resident license by non-resident. He was found guilty and fined $1,000 plus $35 in court costs.
Authur Lance Dunkerson, 40, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 177 suspended. Dunkerson was also charged $35 in court costs.
John Austin Willoughby, 60, forfeited a $50 bond for operating with expired registration, failure to reregister. He was also charged $35 in court costs.
