Editor,

We would like to send a huge thank-you to all of the wonderful volunteers and generous supporters of the Lake County GOP Headquarters. Through the tremendous efforts of a multitude of energized and motivated local citizens who donated their time, their money, their ideas and their help, we were able to educate, register, and provide campaign materials to hundreds of voters, thus making a difference in this critical general election of 2012. The headquarters also printed and distributed the Lake County Voter Guides, knocked on doors and visited face-to-face with concerned citizens about the issues. Our awesome volunteers kept the doors open six days of the week from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., only missing one morning shift in a total 56 days – now that is serious dedication.

Through the combined efforts of statewide campaigns, our local volunteers and Lake County Candidates, the GOP headquarters was able to host events that featured prominent candidates such as Denny Rehberg (for U.S. Senate), Rick Hill (for governor) and Tim Fox (for attorney general) along with our local candidates; Janna Taylor, Gerg Hertz, Dan Salomon, Joe Read and Gale Decker. The GOP headquarters would like to say thank you to these inspiring candidates as well.  These events, and the headquarters itself, would not have been possible without the continuous support of the Lake County Republican Women, the Pachyderms and the Republican Central Committee. We thank all of the club members for their help and encouragement in this venture.

At the time of this writing, voting has not yet taken place, but regardless of the outcome of the election, we would like our volunteers and supporters to know that they are much appreciated and their efforts are not in vain. The Lake County GOP Headquarters was a huge success and achieved the mission we all set out to do!  This is in no small part due to every minute of volunteer time, every dollar of donation and every prayer for success. With deepest sincerity we thank all of you who participated in this great achievement and served our community so well.
