Polson flower power - Hanging baskets needs support

News from GPCF

POLSON - The Greater Polson Community Foundation needs your help in securing financial support to continue the Polson Hanging Flower Baskets for 2025. For over 20+ years these beautiful flower baskets that adorn downtown Polson have been a perfect example of what makes Polson special. Without your help we will not be able to continue this vibrant downtown tradition that has enhanced the visual appeal and created a big welcome to Polson and making an inviting place for residents and visitors.

The cost for purchasing the flowering baskets, plus the expenses to water and care for them on a daily basis is $250 per basket per season or a total S20,000.00 for complete project sponsorship. (This will include full advertisement for the season.)

The Greater Polson Community Foundation is a 50l(c)3 non-profit organization and has agreed to oversee the project again this year. Your generous donation is a tax deductible donation.

Make checks corporate matches or other gifts payable to: GPCF, PO Box 314, Polson, MT 59860. Credit Card payments accepted on our website: www.greateroolsoncommunityfoundation.org

CAPNM closes Lake County Office

News from Niusha W., CAPNM Community Coordinator

POLSON - Community Action Partnership of Northwest Montana (CAPNM) has decided to close its Lake County office located at 110 Main Street in Polson, effective Friday, March 14, 2025. This decision was made as a result of a combination of factors, including an improvement of online self-service application receipts, the cost to maintain and staff an office, as well as a focus on streamlining limited funding.

Clients across Lake County will now be serviced by the main office in Kalispell similarly to the households living in Eureka, Hot Springs, Thompson Falls and West Glacier. Anyone who would like to share their concerns about how this impacts their community is encouraged to contact CAPNM to participate in a Lake County Community Needs Assessment Focus Group to be held in May 2025.

Going forward, all correspondence should be sent to PO Box 88, Kalispell, MT  59903. Keep in touch of CAPNM’s programs by following @capnwmt on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or X social media platforms. CAPNM will continue to provide social services and advocacy, together with local partners, to alleviate poverty, improve lives and strengthen communities in Lake County.
