RONAN — Welcome to December. Just think, in less than a month we will be into 2013. I am sure that you are, with the rest of us, wondering where the year has gone.
Thanks to all of our volunteers. We couldn’t get everything done around here with out your help.
We have hired a new cook to help out here at the center. Kim Bauer has a lot of experience cooking for large groups and will be filling in for me on Fridays.
The nurse who does the foot clinic is up and around again and will be here at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19. Call (406) 676-2371, if you want your name on the list.
The date of our Christmas dinner is also Dec. 19. The meal starts at noon and we will serve a great ham dinner.
Cards will be held here on the first and third Mondays of the month. They will start playing at 1:30 p.m. and are always looking for new players. They will be here next on Dec. 17.
Thursday, Dec. 13 is when we have our evening meal for the month. We start serving at 5 p.m. and will serve pork roast. The veteran’s representative will be here that afternoon from 1-2 p.m.
Our menu for the next week is:
Wednesday, Dec. 5: Swiss steak
Friday, Dec. 7: meatloaf
Monday, Dec. 10: taco soup
Wednesday, Dec. 12: baked fish
Thursday, Dec. 13: pork roast at 5 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 14: S and S pork
We have a beautiful quilt up for raffle. It is on display here at the center. It will also be at the 4-H Bazaar this weekend. Stop in to see it and to buy some raffle tickets and chances to win it. Tickets are $1 each, or six for $5. The money raised will help keep the center open this winter.
For my hubby Moe: I know that your birthday is in January and not in December. I was just checking to see if you read my column. Evidently, you don’t.
Have a great week.
