Coming soon to our neighborhood: a pool for all seasons, all reasons, all ages, all sizes, all people. Exercise is the answer to a lot of our health problems. Physical fitness and low-impact workouts are what swimming is all about. Mission Valley Aquatics is in the process of having its grand opening — water in the pool. They will have a date posted and will let us know when we can actually buy our pool passes. For those of us who would like to see the progress of the pool facility, it will be possible on Sept. 20 from 3 to 8 p.m. at an open house. Take the time and drive up and see what a group of real hardworking volunteers can accomplish when they have the foresight and heartfelt interest in bringing something so special to our communities.
This is not a pool for one community, but for each and every one here in Lake County, its neighbors, its families, their guests and visitors. It will be a meeting place, a sport center, and a place for good family fun. It has been a long time getting here but it has arrived. I hope you all take the invitation to see our pool on Sept. 20 and bring a friend with you.
