Editor,
No doubt we’ve all heard by now the terrible news of 27 children and adults killed in a school shooting in Connecticut last Friday. Our hearts grieve for every family, and our prayers are with them.
So many people are asking, “Why?"
Please know that when you remove God, the Bible, prayer and the Ten Commandments from the public schools, there is no longer a true moral standard with which to teach our children right from wrong.
There is one other issue we need to look at concerning youth crime in our nation. There are violent videos that many children have grown up with. Can they become so engrained in the children’s minds that they think that when they become angry they can go destroy another human, like they do in those games?
This is the Christmas season when we celebrate the coming of the God’s Son, Jesus, into the world, who would become our Savior. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 KJV)
It was not God’s love that killed those precious children. I’m sure he wept over this tragedy. It was evil that took these lives. I believe those children are in heaven right now more alive than they have ever been. May we all take comfort in that.
God bless each of you and God bless America.
