Editor,
I always appreciate reading letters to the editor that are thought-provoking and based on facts. After Ms. Speer’s last letter to the editor in the Dec. 12 Leader and Valley Journal, I am compelled to write a few thoughts of my own. If the energy that Ms. Speer put into writing the negative comments about Envision Polson, Heart and Soul and the Greater Polson Community Foundation were instead put into something constructive or coming up with some alternative plans for the betterment of Polson, it would be a beautiful life.
There are a lot of untruths and misinformation floating around and I’m surprised the Leader and Valley Journal printed Ms. Speer’s smear without doing their homework. I would suggest if any reader has questions of your own, go directly to Penny Jarecki, the person who was named in the letter. Mrs. Jarecki is a participant in all three of these areas and works tirelessly for the community on a volunteer basis. She could answer any and all questions you have on any improvement topics.
I feel these recent letters are a slap in the face to volunteerism and any effort to improve our community.
