Editor,

I will be the first to say, as a parent, that the tragedy in Connecticut is more than awful; it is evil. The sad fact is we cannot control evil dispositions of men. It is the height of arrogance for our government, namely Obama, to declare that we will not let this happen again. It happens everyday in America with knives and blunt objects. The slaughter of our babies happens everyday in the abortion mills that the Democrats so vehemently guard and fund and promote. Where is the outcry; where is the rage?

Obama and his Gadianton robbers sent thousands of weapons into Mexico illegally — guns that have killed hundreds of its citizens and killed our border agents, yet they want to use this evil act in Connecticut to once again go after the rights of god-fearing, law-abiding Americans to have the right to keep and bear arms. We cannot allow anyone to use a tragedy like this to subvert our liberty and steal the one safeguard to our freedom. We must be able to defend ourselves. The only thing that keeps this rogue government at bay is the resolve of honest and true American patriots to have the means by which to defend itself from a tyrannical, despotic government. They have to disarm us and then we will have to bend to their will. The truth is, if some maniac is going to go on a rampage and wants to kill a bunch of innocent people, he will find the means to do it. Disarming Americans will only ensure that the criminal will have guns. If the teachers and principal of that school would have been armed and trained and were willing to shoot that crazy (murderer), there would be praise and not condemnation. We don’t need knee-jerk reactions to evil peoples’ acts; that would endanger us all.
