Editor,

Something needs to be done with the amount of Christmas tree yards there are on our reservation. You see people with hundreds of trees in their yards for sale, and come Dec. 26, you'll see 30 or 40 trees still in many of these yards. I understand people are trying to make money. Maybe there should be a limit to the amount of trees one tree yard can have, or limit each person who cuts the trees. Also consider fines for having excess trees after Christmas.

For many years I have never seen a tree yard sell out; that is, until this year. The lot across from Super One sold out. I admire and applaud Clay and Rene for doing a great job and knowing how to run a successful tree yard. Clay lowered his prices and lowered again. I believe he would even give a tree away rather than have trees laying on the ground after Christmas. It shows Clay and Rene have respect for our land and the resources we have.
