After beating the Superior Bobcats 47-43 Jan. 18 and sending the Savage Heat back to Hot Springs Jan. 19 defeated 79-67, the Arlee Warriors kept busy last week, losing a close match with Loyola Friday night, 58-52, and then trouncing St. Regis 69-20 on Saturday.
Against Loyola, point guard Zack Camel tallied eight points, six boards and 10 assists. Josh Reed and Rocky Lewis turned in 18 points each, with Reed adding seven rebounds and Lewis four. Senior Christian Haynes contributed three points, six rebounds and two steals, while Justin Adams had three points and four rebounds.
In the Warriors’ contest against St. Regis Saturday, Camel had 23 assists, which is believed to be a state record breaking the old record of 22 assists. Camel also pulled down 13 boards and scored three points. Haynes added 11 points and seven boards; Lewis, 10 points and two steals; and Reed, 13 points, 11 boards, four steals and three blocks.
The Warriors take on Noxon at home Thursday before traveling to neighboring St. Ignatius to play the Mission Bulldogs Saturday.
