Editor,
As they say in the movie business, “It’s a wrap.” On behalf of the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest, we would like to thank everyone who made our first annual film festival a great success. We are proud that we were able to offer such a wide variety of high-caliber feature, shorts and documentary films to our viewing public. The success of this year’s festival has encouraged our FLIC committee to begin making plans for the second annual festival scheduled for Jan. 24-26, 2014.
Special thanks goes to the Greater Polson Community Foundation Envision Polson’s Year-Round committee for the vision to create events and activities for our community members and visitors alike. We also need to thank the Polson Community Development Agency for taking us under their wing so we could operate as a non-profit organization. Special thanks as well to Becky and Gary Dupuis for allowing us to screen 25-plus films at the Showboat Cinema over three days. There are too many people to thank individually, you know who you are, but we could not have been as successful without our 25 sponsors, 21 FLIC committee members and 17 volunteers who donated their time during the festival. Let’s not forget our special guests and filmmakers who submitted their work to our festival and lastly, you, our community members who came out to support our events and film screenings.
See you at the movies.
