Judge C.B. McNeil dealt with the following cases Wednesday, Sept. 5:
Christopher Morigeau, 34, Ronan, had his March 2012 suspended sentence for partner or family member assault, third offense, a felony, revoked and was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for five years. He will receive full credit for time served while in custody.
According to court documents, after Morigeau was sentenced for a felony PFMA on March 14. After court, he was supposed to sign his rules of probation but was “heavily intoxicated.” He signed the papers on March 21, and since then has violated his probation by using drugs, drinking alcohol, failing to report to his probation officer, and on Aug. 13, was involved in a confrontation with law enforcement where he threatened officers and was extremely combative. Morigeau has also failed to pay court-ordered fines and fees and has been associating with a known felon.
Judge Deborah Kim Christopher dealt with the following cases Thursday, Sept. 6:
Keya Birdsbill, 34, Ronan, in change of plea, admitted to the amended offense of criminal endangerment, a felony. A second charge of assault with a weapon, a felony, was dismissed pursuant to a deferred prosecution agreement. Sentencing was set for Thursday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, charges stem from a Jan. 30 incident where Birdsbill got in a fight with her boyfriend at his house. She hit him with a lamp, frying pan and metal sculpture as he dragged her out of the house, causing multiple cuts and abrasions on his head, hand, face and torso. Once she was out of the house, her boyfriend locked the door.
Birdsbill then broke a window and climbed back inside, got a knife from the kitchen and and went to her boyfriend’s bedroom. He approached her and she hit him with the knife. Then he retreated to the bathroom and called police.
Raeleen Stokes, 27, Ronan, pleaded not guilty to assault on a peace officer, two counts, both felonies; disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor; and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. An omnibus hearing was set for Thursday, Nov. 15, and a jury trial set to begin Monday, Jan. 7. Both begin at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, charges stem from an Aug. 22 incident where Stokes allegedly approached two Ronan Police officers in the park in Ronan and was yelling and using foul language. She appeared intoxicated and wouldn’t leave after she was asked to calm down and go home. When the officers tried to arrest her, she head-butted one and kicked one in the jaw.
Marcus Hendrickson, 23, Hot Springs, pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. An omnibus hearing was set for Thursday, Oct. 25, and a jury trial set to begin Monday, Jan. 7. Both begin at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, the charge stems from an Aug. 8 incident where a Montana Highway Patrol trooper made a traffic stop of Hendrickson and found an oxycodone pill in his vehicle. Hendrickson admitted he had never been prescribed oxycodone.
Tyson Whitworth, 35, Charlo, pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. An omnibus hearing was set for Thursday, Oct. 25, and a jury trial set to begin Monday, Dec. 10. Both begin at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, the charge stems from a July 3 incident where Whitworth allegedly caused a disturbance while intoxicated at the Arlee Powwow Grounds. He had a bag of marijuana and two hydrocodone pills in his pocket.
Cecilia Basilio, 33, Polson, pleaded not guilty to forgery, common scheme, a felony. An omnibus hearing was set for Thursday, Oct. 15, and a jury trial set to begin Monday, Jan. 7. Both begin at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, the charge stems from a May 29 incident where Basilio allegedly tried to pay for merchandise at the Hallmark Store with an old check belonging to her ex-husband who was deported in 2009.
