Editor,

It is of great interest to this writer that the revamping of the Food Stamp Program touted by Rep. Taylor has so many “what if’s?” that one can barely capture it in a definitive wording. Aside from that, one must consider that Taylor’s suggestions are orbital, and the remaining fact that what is proposed as a revamp is also mind-blowing. Consider the facts, if you will, regarding the monies Taylor pocketed (remember $100,000 per year for 10 years) for not growing food. As a reminder, you can learn what other legislators take for not growing crops in Montana by looking at the Environmental Working Group website. Click on Farm Subsidies Database, select the state of Montana on the map provided, then click on Petroleum County, home of the Taylor farm, Twin Creek Ranch in Winnet.
