RONAN — “Grease,” the rock and roll party scene of the 1950’s as Ronan High School theater arts students step back in time to present this classic. Set in their great- grandparent’s era, students are experiencing a small taste of life with leather jackets, jukeboxes, radio hour, poodle skirts, saddle oxfords, ponytails and greased hairdos. This student version of “Grease” has been adapted to make it a bit more family friendly; however; it has retained all of the fantastic music we have come to know and love. The story line is the familiar, sweet romance of Danny and Sandy. Quentin Denton and Mariah Arlint are portraying these two main characters along with Silye Pete starring as Rizzo and Sam Bixby starring as Kenekie. Wade Ingle has again turned his hand to create our very own version of “Greased Lightning” and Christy Rhine has costumed all 40 students. This is a must see. “Grease” takes the stage at the Ronan Performing Arts Center on March 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. and is sure to be a wonderful evening of fun. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at The Flower Mill or at the door.
