Justice of the Peace Joey Jayne dealt with the following cases March 1-7:

James White, 23, forfeited a $50 bond for speeding, traveling 73 mph in posted 55 mph zone. White also paid $35 in court costs.

Shandielle Ann Harshbarger, 25, pleaded not guilty to speeding on non-interstate, exceeding 70 mph. She was found guilty and fined $20. Harshbarger also pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid drivers license. She was found guilty sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.

Scott Dean Morey, pleaded not guilty to reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty and sentenced to 90 days in jail with all suspended. Morey was also fined $30 plus $35 in court costs.

Lori Elizabeth Atwood, 40, pleaded guilty to failing to give notice of accident by quickest means, apparent damage over $500. She was found guilty, sentenced to 20 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $200 plus $35 in court costs.

Dustin James Burckhard, 30, forfeited a $20 bond for a seatbelt violation.

Kelsey Elizabeth Hay, 20, forfeited a $30 bond for speeding, traveling 60 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. Hay also was charged $35 in court costs.

Gerald W. Presnell, 44, forfeited a $20 bond plus $35 in court costs for speeding, traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone.

James Patrick Corbett, 43, forfeited a $60 bond plus $35 in court costs for speeding, traveling 76 mph in a 55 mph zone. .

Rosemary Jane Short, 61, forfeited a $20 bond and $35 in court costs for speeding, traveling 52 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Sarah M. Snelgrove, 23, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance, first offense. Although her sentence was deferred, she was fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.

Cynthia L. Syrjala, 45, forfeited a $20 bond for speeding, traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. 

Preston Wayne Henifin, 36, pleaded guilty to criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. Although his sentenced was deferred, he was fined $200 plus $85 in court costs.

Nadine Palmer Espinoza, 78, forfeited a $20 bond for a seatbelt violation.
