I personally don’t think the people who are behind the People’s Voice are greedy. We have been getting a mere $400 per capita for many years. Wanting more is just human nature. We would all like to improve our financial situations. Another $9,000 will not make us rich but it would go a long way to help pay bills and maybe afford us to purchase something we need but haven’t been able to buy. Tribal member Bear Salois thinks differently. To put it in perspective, think about a box of apples and oranges. If you see a bad one in your box, you take it out and put it in the garbage, so it doesn’t affect the rest of the fruit. That’s just the smart thing to do. We don’t need the fracturing or name-calling to disrupt the good work of helping the tribal membership as a whole. Think about it, that’s what the People’s Voice is trying to do for all of us tribal members.
