POLSON — Voters will choose two candidates for three-year terms on the Polson School Board.

Running for the seats are incumbents Vernon Finley and Mark A. Russell and Nancy J. Lindsey and Robert A. Ricketts.

In addition, incumbent Bob Hanson will seek another three-year term in the high school district.

A candidate forum will be held at Polson High School at 7 p.m. on April 27 so voters can hear the different candidate’s views on issues.

Also on this ballot will be two proposed levies, a technology levy and a building reserve fund levy.

For the elementary technology levy, a $100,000 home would pay $6.69 per year and a $200,000 home would pay $13.39 per year. To raise $67,000 per year, the high school technology levy would cost $2.78 on a $100,000 home and $5.58 on a $200,000 home.

The elementary building reserve levy would raise  $1,000,000 over five years, at $200,000 per year. For a $100,000 home the cost would be $1.33 per year and a $200,000 home would cost $2.66 per year. The high school building reserve would raise $500,000 over five years. A house valued at $100,000 would pay $.56 per year while a $200,000 house would add $1.33 to the homeowner’s tax bill.

Election day will be May 3 for the school board elections. Polson and Valley View voters will cast their ballots at Linderman School while Dayton residents will vote at the Dayton Presbyterian Church. Polls open at 10 a.m. and remain open until 8 p.m.
