Marie Iris Wing
RONAN — Where there is sadness, love plants a garden of memories. On April 4, 2013, Marie Iris Wing, age 88, of Ronan, passed away into the waiting arms of her best friend and husband of 66 years, Ralph, her granddaughter Samantha, her parents, brother Bobbie and son in-law Jerry.
Marie was born on Sept. 25, 1924, in St. Kilda, Alberta, Canada, to Lily and Happy Bielen. Marie was the oldest of five children.
She is survived by her four children; Karen VandenBosch, Linda (Bob) Bell, Darlene (Steve) Reum and Ed (Sue) Wing; nine grandchildren: Brenda (Brian) Jones, Tammy (Doug) Roberts, Brad (Erica) Bell, Launa (Tom) Benson, Travis Reum, Kelly (Liz) VandenBosch, Shane (Jen) Reum, Jake Wing, and Holly Wing; 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren (with two on the way); brothers Raymond, Harold (Char), and Ronnie (Janet) Bielen; sister in-law Betty Bielen and many nieces and nephews.
Marie worked hard her whole life. She loved to cook and made sure no one left her home hungry. She loved her family passionately and was blessed with having her children and grandchildren so close to her.
Rosary services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ronan. A Celebration of Life Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Ronan Cemetery. Shrider-Thompson Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting with arrangements.
