What a beautiful community to live in. The recent article in the paper on the Sassy Scrappy Stitchers captured the essence of the dedication these women have to helping others. While some women are making quilts, others are crocheting colorful lap robes and full-size afghans out of odds and ends of yarn. More than 90 of their products have been donated to veterans’ homes and others in need of them.
I neither sew nor crochet, so I just go for lunch and listen to the sound of happy voices — women sharing their lives as well as their talents.
If you are interested in joining them, you will be welcomed.
