Once again I had the pleasure of working with the Queen of Halloween, Sharla Talsma. Together with her family, mine, a slew of kids and matching funds from the Ronan Telephone Company we helped raise $2,450 for the Ronan Boys and Girls Club. The annual Ronan Haunted House was a hit, the biggest year to-date and by far the scariest. How many haunted houses have you been to that had a fully-functional hearse with a real coffin in the back, a 23-foot culvert and three chainsaws?
With lines around the block both nights, a lot of people in Lake County enjoyed the scares. A special thanks to the Ronan Telephone Company for the use of their building, Ronan Power Products and Timberlane Auto for equipment use and all the kids/adults who helped with scares and set building. Two of the highlights of the nights were the little blonde boys who helped scare monsters and asked so many questions that we were all in tears of laughter by the end of the night. Along with Mariah and her group that ran so fast we had to chase after them to scare them and I don’t know if they even saw anything.
Thank you Lake County for recognizing the time, effort and money it takes to put on such a show, we appreciate all your screams. This year it was filmed with sections in night vision.
