Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases March 18-24:
Jacob Michael Mitchell, 30, pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 176 days suspended, and credited for four days served. Mitchell was also fined $100 plus $85 in court costs. He also pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired less than 180 days (citation issued June 25, 2010). He was found guilty and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Additionally, Mitchell pleaded not guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired less than 180 days (citation issued September 7, 2010). For that offense, Mitchell was sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Teresa A. Schimmel, 35, pleaded guilty to driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. She was found guilty, sentenced to six months in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Nathan Kent Pierce, 33, pleaded not guilty an amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired more than 180 days. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
Jaimie Leigh Kibler, 20, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, second offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with eight suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs. If Kibler can provide proof of valid insurance by April 21 and proof of six months continuous insurance, the fine will be reduced by $100 and jail time waived.
Gregory Devlin, 63, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired more than 180 days. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Joshua Wyatt Harris, 30, pleaded not guilty to operating with expired registration. He was found guilty and fined $500 plus $35 in court costs. Harris also pleaded not guilty to an amended charge of reckless driving. He was found guilty, sentenced to 90 days in jail with 85 suspended, and fined $300 plus $35 in court costs.
Vince R. Smith, 22, pleaded not guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid drivers license, expired less than 180 days. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $215 plus $35 in court costs.
David Neale Gonzales, 34, pleaded guilty to driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Gonzales also pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
James Arren Bauer, 32, pleaded not guilty to operating with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC of greater, first offense. He was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, fined $400, and charged $85 in court costs.
Tamie D. Schliep, 45, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired less than 180 days. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Robert James Wall, 26, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired less than 180 days. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Wall also pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Jesse James Mikesell, 28, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Denise Marie Seymour, 40, pleaded guilty to careless driving. She was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
