Editor,
The American Legion Post 113 from Arlee is requesting help from family members and/or persons with knowledge of those who have died in traffic accidents along U.S. Highway 93 from the “Y” to Ravalli.
When the highway was rebuilt, all the markers were taken down and not replaced, as it in essence is a new highway. When questioned as to locations of the old markers, we were told that no records were kept, so we are asking for help from those people who know where their family members died along the highway.
It is not required that new markers be replaced, but we will be replacing those that the families request to be replaced.
If you or your family want a marker to be replaced, please call William Orr at (406) 726-3798 or Carmen McClure at (406) 544-3722.
