S&K Gaming deserves competent leadership

Leadership (lee-der-ship) n: A process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent. Furthermore, leadership makes the followers want to achieve higher goals. S&K Gaming, LLC desperately needs leadership in the form of a Principal Operations Officer.
People want to be led by those they respect and who have a clear sense of direction. To gain respect, a leader must be ethical. To achieve a sense of direction, leaders must convey a strong vision of the future. I have seen too many self-serving “leaders” serve as Principal Operations Officer for S&K Gaming, LLC who continually misuse authority to present a good image to their seniors at the expense of their hard workers. Employees do not follow these self-serving “leaders,” but simply obey them.
S&K Gaming, LLC employees need a trustworthy leader able to communicate a vision of where the organization needs to go.
They deserve a competent leader to help them understand S&K Gaming, LLC’s overall business strategy and how they contribute to success of the company.
CSKT advertised the Principal Operations Officer position in May of 2011 and later cancelled the advertisement. The advertisement stated the minimum qualifications for the Principal Operations Officer position as follows:
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a management related field with accounting background and experience and have ten years of experience in a management related capacity with at least five years of increasing responsibility in a field appropriate to the position.
• Must have full knowledge and understanding of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and all other applicable Federal and Tribal Laws as it relates to gaming.
• Must possess the ability to negotiate, implement and execute a management plan for systematic revenue enhancement and increased profitability.
I sincerely hope the newly selected S&K Gaming, LLC Board selects an ethical, trustworthy and competent leader that meets at least the minimum qualifications listed above and is capable of driving S&K Gaming to the top of the Gaming and Hospitality industry. Please set politics, egos and family trees aside.
The time for positive change is now.
