Judge C.B. McNeil dealt with the following cases Wednesday, June 26:
Savonnah Ryan, 25, Ronan, had her suspended sentence revoked and was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for five years, to be placed in an appropriate facility for treatment, for criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony.
According to court documents, Ryan admitted on March 12 that she violated terms of probation and parole by moving, by not reporting to probation officer, by resisting arrest in Missoula, by testing positive for five different dangerous drugs, by not getting ordered DNA testing and by not obtaining a chemical dependency evaluation. The original charge of possession of dangerous drugs dates back to 2011.
David Irvine, 67, Pablo, was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for 10 years with eight suspended, to be placed in an appropriate facility, for criminal possession of dangerous drugs with an intent to distribute, a felony. Irvine will also be credited for time served.
According to court documents, charges stem from a Jan. 15 incident where officers obtained a search warrant and for Irvine’s residence and found 14 individually wrapped packages of methamphetamine, 17 Klonopin pills, several thousand dollars in cash, handwritten notes detailing drug transactions, and multiple welfare assistance cards issued to people other than Irvine.
Steven Larson, 62, Ronan, admitted committing an amended offense of threats and other improper influence in official and political matters, a felony. The court found Larson guilty. Sentencing is set for Wednesday, July 31 at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, charges stem from an October 2012 incident where Larson was stopped for erratic driving, and after the Ronan police officer tried to administer sobriety tests, Larson called the officer a name, told the officer “I don’t want to shoot you, man” and started walking to the cab of his truck. The officer attempted to restrain Larson by grabbing Larson’s arm, and Larson turned and struck the officer in the face. After Larson was handcuffed, the officer found several empty beer cans and a loaded 12-gauge shotgun in Larson’s vehicle. Larson’s breath test, taken later at the Lake County Sheriff’s office, showed a blood alcohol level of .134 percent.
William A. Koso, 36, admitted committing an amended offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony. The court found him guilty and sentencing is set for Wednesday, July 31 at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, charges stem from a May 10 incident where a Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy had to swerve to avoid a collision with the car Koso was driving. The Deputy had observed the vehicle driving down the center of Courville Trail, and when the deputy attempted to pull him over, Koso veered into the ditch, taking our a fence post and hitting a telephone pole and box. Three young children were in the vehicle, improperly restrained. The oldest had a cut on his lip from hitting the dashboard when Koso hit the pole. Koso’s breath test was .161 percent blood alcohol level, twice the legal limit.
